September 2022

The Library is all ready to welcome students back to LGCA!

New displays, new books, and new activities await!

Make sure to check out our brand new Christian novels, brand new picture books, and updated selection of graphic novels. We have also added a large selection of chapter books, picture books, and non-fiction books from generous donations by LGCA families.

Library classes begin September 14.

The books MISS you! The library has been partly packed up, displays taken down, and furniture removed for our annual summer cleaning & renovations.

Can't wait until we are back together in September- and our Library is filled with all of our eager students again!

"Words on Wheels" is always evolving, depending on the needs & interests of the students! I try to bring a variety of fiction and non fiction books to choose from, as well as stock their class bins with "holds" they've requested or series they've been reading.

In January, we started chapter book bins for the grade 2 & 3 students! They are now welcome to check out TWO books if one of them is a chapter book. They were all very excited for this new opportunity to take TWO books- and many have found some new series to enjoy!

We also began learning about Fiction vs. Non Fiction, so I have been trying to bring more non fiction books on topics they're interested in! Their top picks so far have been: learn-to-draw, animals, facts, and technology!

Grade 4-7 students have the opportunity to come in to the library to check out books- so we've been creating displays of new books, high interest topics, or holiday displays!

I have three AMAZING grade 7 helpers who have created some wonderful display boards and book displays.
