As a mom of a very imaginative little girl, who often likes to pretend to be an animal (lately?! A wolf!)- I really connected to this story!

Every morning, Sophie wakes up and announces to her mom that she is not Sophie… but she is… a tiger! An elephant! A snake! The words just bounce around the page, as she moves and makes noises just like that animal. The illustrations really bring the story to life, with the bright colours and fun animals throughout.

Because of its repetitive and sing-song nature, it makes for a very fun & interactive read-aloud! I can see young readers memorizing the words, as they read it again and again with their families, and start reading along!
Lovely book to add to your toddler & preschooler collection.

Synopsis:
Sophie is a little girl with a BIG imagination! Every day, she wakes up and decides to be a different animal. On Sunday, she pounces and roars through the house like a tiger. On Monday, she stomps and trumpets like a mighty elephant. Throughout the week, she is a slithering snake, a bouncy monkey, and even a scary alligator! By the end of the week, Sophie discovers that being herself is the best adventure of all.

Filled with playful illustrations and a heartwarming message about self-acceptance, I am NOT Sophie encourages young readers to embrace their own unique magic—because sometimes, being YOU is the most wonderful thing of all!
