With the help of his best friend Fizz, he learns that being kind isn’t just about doing nice things — it’s about thinking of others, too.
This story had me smiling from start to finish. Kids will giggle at Dude’s over-the-top enthusiasm, and grown-ups will love the gentle message about empathy, consent, and what true kindness looks like. I love the "comic book" style word bubbles, font, and graphics- it will definitely appeal to young readers! The illustrations by Alex MacNaughton are colorful, lively, and full of fun little details!
As a teacher and librarian, I can already picture this being a perfect read-aloud for social-emotional learning lessons, especially when talking about friendship, helping others, and the difference between nice and thoughtful. It’s playful, bright, and sure to get kids talking.
