Short & sweet- We LOVE this book!

A thrilling chapter book, accessible to so many readers, with an adventurous story & important messages about animal conservation!

It was very cool to start this book & read that the main character Armando is from Vancouver! I liked those local references right off the start.

I absolutely adored this book, and instantly gave it to my 8 year old to read. We LOVE the show Amazing Race, and this “Amazing Animal Race” had so many similar elements. We also LOVE animals, so having so many facts about animals scattered throughout and the focus being on animal conservation, was a huge plus. 

I really like Armando’s character, and find him to be a kind, adventurous, curious, and clever boy! I really liked his relationship with his grandmother, and wow was she ever quirky. She had such spunk, and I was instantly drawn to her. 

The map, illustrations, and added letters/notes throughout really made it more appealing to younger readers. What a great way to make a chapter book appealing to all readers. 

This is a book I’ll absolutely be recommending to my students, and I know it’ll be a hit! So happy to support this local BC author.
